nothing grows in our garden

Had another pregnant dream last night.

I went into labor and had strong, painful, crampy contractions every few minutes. I knew it would take a long time for the baby to come. My mom was with me, walking me around a big public house. I could feel the baby turning and she noticed we could see the baby through my skin; curling, hands clasped in a prayer position, soft eyelashes closed in peace.

  1. wow. i would like to have baby dreams. maybe they would make me feel closer. kirk was in a production of under milk wood in college. director wrote beautiful music for it. he was the singing priest. i fell instantly in love. this image looks rather brechtian.

  2. Isn't it gorgeous?!?! If you click on it you can see the others the artist made of Milk Wood. My theater company did Under Milk Wood with a script a partially adapted. I was Polly.

Apparently dreams about babies aren't maternal or OBGYN related. Rather they are dreams about something new that needs to be nurtured. I'm wondering if it's related to my yoga practice: pain with purpose, long time, curling, prayer position, eyes floated closed.
